A look back at some special moments captured at Mel Trotter Ministries in 2017.

atrium remodel
Thanks to Custer, Inc. and Steelcase, the atrium was refurbished in January.
In March, Tony Johnson was appointed the first ever former guest as a Trustee at Mel Trotter.
Mel Trotter opened its first ever Youth House in April.
national day of prayer
Guests held hands in prayer on the National Day of Prayer.
A graduate from the Step-Up Program received her certificate for completing the program in June.
At the 21st Annual Golf Event in June, a golfer cheers after he putts the ball in the hole.
Throughout the summer, interns worked with the guests to plant a garden in the MTM park.
profiled by god
In September, program guests attended a formal event at the Eve Nightclub at the B.O.B. called “Profiled by God.”
Guests staying at Mel Trotter, along with those working with Heartside Ministry, created artwork for the ArtPrize exhibit in the MTM park.
Ron Hall, author and producer of Same Kind of Different as Me, is given a standing ovation after his speech at Mel Trotter Ministries’ Season of Hope event held at the JW Marriott.

A program guest decorated her living space while she goes through Mel Trotter’s Restoration Program.

A young man set aside his worn boots to receive new socks and new boots at the Foot Washing Event in October.
The guests were prayed over during the Restoration Program Graduation in October.
The movie theater was full at the Mel Trotter Ministries Same Kind of Different as Me Movie Premiere in October.
Turkey Drop
A donor put on a turkey hat at Celebration! Cinema for the Turkey Drop event hosted by Mel Trotter Ministries and Wood Radio in November.
Volunteers worked hard to prepare the food for the Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thanksgiving Day held at DeVos Place.
Christmas store
A program guest at MTM bought many gifts for her family at The Heartside Community Christmas Store in December.
